Born in St. Elizabeth Jamaica on February 22nd 1958.
He attended Calabar High School for boys and later The Edna Manley School of Art in Kingston, graduating in 1980.
Mr. Beckford has had several solo shows both here and overseas and has won two gold and two silver medals for painting and sculpting in the J.C.D.C competition locally.
His work is represented in various private and public cooperate organizations island wide.
For the most part Beckfords work has been concerned with the portrayal of various human virtues, love, hate, friendship, peace and forgiveness.
